Be responsible for the management, design, and production of a wide variety of gifting materials including corporate gifts, personalized gifts, giveaways, promotional items, online materials, brochures, direct mail, display graphics, online materials and support materials, and specialty items including catalogs, presentation materials, brochures, web graphics, and conference materials
• Work directly with the R&D team and other department heads from project inception to the end deliverable, creating a product that accomplishes the defined objectives and is consistent with the association’s branding strategy, creative direction and key messages
• Execute high-quality, original-concept designs in a timely manner for print, web graphics and production
• Counsel internal clients on design direction
• Work with production vendors, as needed
• Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles, corporate guidelines and esthetic design concepts.
• Develop concepts, graphics and layouts for
a) Gift product, gift packaging, giveaways, promotional items (60%)
b) Web graphics (30%)
b) Advertising, POS materials, brochures, catalogues, supporting materials (10%)
• Determine size and arrangement of illustrative materials and copy
• Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed
• Check & control quality after completing gift product, creative material design
• Maintain archive of images, photos, or previous work products - Mark up, paste, assemble final layouts and prepare notes and instructions for workers who assemble and prepare final layouts for production
• Liaise with external production house/ suppliers/ printers on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and product is manufactured and material is printed to the highest quality
• Use computer software to create electronic versions of designs.
• Employ color, type, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques when designing project.
• Report on the progress of each assignment and possible timelines.
• Collaborate with printers to select type of paper and ink.
